Furniture fittings are attached to wood, aluminum or plastic workpieces in order to increase the load-bearing capacity of the base material. They often have a particularly large expansion in one axis (e.g. circumferential door fittings). Drilling patterns as well as moulds and positions of openings are usually measured. The tolerances range from 20 µm to 100 µm. The measuring time plays a subordinate role.
