Measurement of involutes and special gears

Gears usually have a standardised geometry. Their measurement is carried out according to DIN 3962. Profile form deviation, flank line deviation and pitch are measured. Depending on the application of the gears, the tolerances are in the range of a few µm up to approx. 1/10 mm. The measuring time plays a subordinate role.
