Flat gaskets often do not have a rigid lateral position. For example, diameters, lengths, angles and simple mould and position deviations have to be measured. Due to the large tolerances, the requirements for measurement uncertainty are rather low, but the measurement time should be rather short. Since gaskets are often flexible, fixing them for measurement is correspondingly difficult.
