Skiving cutters usually have very complex geometries. The tooth profile on the cutting edge, pitch, relief and step grinding are measured. With tolerances of 20 µm to 50 µm, the requirements for measurement uncertainty are in the medium range. There are usually no special requirements for the measuring time.
