Furniture fittings are attached to wood, aluminum or plastic workpieces to increase the load-bearing capacity of the base material. They often have a particularly large extension in one axis (for example, circumferential door fittings). Measurements are usually made of hole patterns as well as moulds and positions of openings. The tolerances are in the range of 20 µm to 100 µm. The measuring time plays a subordinate role.
