In the case of workpieces, which are mostly made of plastics, the shrinkage process during the cooling phase usually causes the actual values of the workpiece to change significantly over several hours. In addition to distances, radii, angles and deviations in mould shape and position, important measuring tasks include the sealing surfaces in particular. With tolerances of 20 µm to 100 µm, the requirements for measurement uncertainty are in the medium range. The measuring time plays a subordinate role.
