Optical components such as lenses, prisms and mirrors are found in many system solutions in medical technology, metrology, production technology, entertainment and communications industries. In order to specifically influence the propagation of electromagnetic shafts, high precision of the transparent surfaces is necessary, often in the nanometre range.

Highly accurate multi-sensor systems make it possible, for example, to check form errors on spherical and aspherical lenses for mobile phones with the micro-probe or to check the assembly of micro-objectives for endoscopy with computed tomography.
