Motivation training Zermatt

A 4,000 metre climb for everyone

Radiant sunshine and snow-covered mountains. An event in such surroundings offers the perfect balance to stressful everyday life, frees the mind for new ideas and welds the group together.

On several occasions, Werth Messrology has organised motivational training in the mountains. In 2018, for example, around 40 colleagues, some even from the USA and China, accepted the invitation to the Valais Alps. After arriving by bus, they travelled from Zermatt on the special cogwheel train to the hotel on the 3,135 metre high Gornergrat. The spectacular landscape with panoramic views of 38 four-thousand-metre peaks provided a perfect backdrop for tackling challenges together. After two days of acclimatisation with easy hikes, it was "up" on the third day. With the joint ascent to the Hörnli Hut (3,260 metres), the group came closer to the Matterhorn than ever before. The next day, 18 people in four rope teams dared the ascent over the glacier to the Breithorn (4,164 metres) and also impressed the mountain guides with their above-average team spirit. For the less trained, a visit to the ice palace in the Theodul glacier was on the programme at the same time. Together they could then discuss what they had experienced over cheese fondue and other delicacies back at the hut. A night-time guideway through the "Stellarium" on the Gornergrat with an explanation of the astronomers' technology was also particularly interesting for the Werth metrologists.
