Complex geometries are a special feature of taps. Important parameters are the profile of the thread tooth, pitch, pitch, flank diameter, relief and pointing. With tolerances of approx. 10 µm to 15 µm, the requirements for measurement uncertainty are high. The measuring time plays a subordinate role. Due to the thread pitch, shadowing can occur when measuring with the vision sensor, so the additional use of a tilt axis is recommended.
