With the help of the CAD data, the programme for measuring the plastic profiles is often created before the workpieces are produced. In addition to distances, angles and radii, the most important measuring tasks are the wall thicknesses and the comparison of the entire profile with the CAD data set. The demand on the measuring time is high. With tolerances of 50 µm to 100 µm, however, the requirements for measurement uncertainty are low.
