The plastics industry produces a wide variety of consumer and industrial goods. The components are usually produced cost-effectively either by injection moulding in large quantities or by additive manufacturing processes (3D printing) in small quantities.

The workpieces often have many and complex geometrical characteristics. Werth coordinate measuring machines are used in the complete process chain. First article inspections as well as workpiece and tool analyses can be carried out, or inspections accompanying series production can be carried out in the laboratory and production for process optimisation.
