A special feature of reamers is the radial undercut of the cutting edge. The parameters to be measured are diameter, circular run-out radial and the geometry of the point. Due to the very low tolerances, the requirements for measurement uncertainty are very high. The measuring time plays a subordinate role. Reamers should be treated like shafts when measuring with the image processing sensor.
