The tools are often corrected iteratively until the workpieces produced are within the required tolerances. The most important geometrical characteristics are distances, radii, angles and positional deviations. Tolerances of 5 µm to 20 µm result in high requirements for measurement uncertainty. The measuring time plays a subordinate role.
